The LouVino Story
LouVino was founded by pharmacists-turned-restauranteurs Chad and Lauren Coulter in 2014. The Coulters got their entrepreneurial start by opening a 'Paint-and-Sip' business in Louisville in 2011 which exploded in popularity and lots of wine sales. When looking at the Louisville restaurant and bar scene, the Coulters noticed that there was not a significant player in the wine scene. After developing the general concept and meeting with now Culinary Director Tavis Rockwell, LouVino opened it's first location in July, 2014 in the Highlands. Two more locations were opened in 2016 (Douglass Hills and Fishers, IN).
At the end of 2018, LouVino will have 5 total locations with Cincinnati and Downtown Indianapolis (Mass Ave) opening this year!
LouVino's menu is comprised of many shareable plates that are heavily influenced from the South and the Coulter's home state of Georgia. Half of the menu changes about every 2 months to ensure we are using seasonal and fresh ingredients. Each location allows the executive chef to use their culinary imagination to create their own seasonal section of the menu. Thus, each location has their own unique menu.
LouVino's bar program is known for it's award-winning wine list with more than 60 wines by the glass and wine flights. A wide selection of bourbons, craft beer and cocktails are also available.
